"BLACK CHRISTMAS" ANIMATED TAG TUTORIAL

Well I'm loving this tag - black and purple for Christmas just looks awesome!

Tube of choice is by Liwanag at PTE HERE
You must have a license to use their tubes

Kit used is FTU "Dark Christmas" by Vaybs HERE

FTU Angora kitten at Sandy's Design HERE

How to animate with different colors can be found on Lynn's blog HERE

Black Christmas

**THIS SHOULD BE SIMPLE ENOUGH FOR THE PSP NEWBIE**

Open a new transparent background sized at 700 x 700

Place your tube and elements as you wish

I put together the tag with Paper 6 as a background and used the purple color from the tube as a frame on top of tag

To make the frame create a New Raster Layer at the top of your LP - flood fill with purple to cover your entire tag

Select All>Modify>Contract by 3 - hit Delete key

Selections>Invert - then Effects>3D>Inner Bevel

Select None

The purple rug - draw an oval with your Preset Shape tool onto a transparent new background - I used Eye Candy Textures Animal Fur then Copied and Pasted on the tag

Opening element 10 I adjusted the color to a purple that matches the tube so it will animate brighter
(To do this click on Adjust>Manual Color Correction, click on Manual Target Color, click on Target Layer and type in the color number you wish to use; the purple I chose is #70317A)

I took element 10 and placed on the black background behind the other elements

Clicking on the element 10 layer in Layer Palette, right click on tag and Copy
(You only want this element to go to AS)

Paste as new animation in AS and animate according to Lynn's tutorial
(This is very easy to do)

You will have 7 frames of your animation

Back in PSP you want to hide your black background in your LP then Merge Visible
(This will merge all your tag layers except for the background)

Now hide your new merged layer and highlight the black background
(Hide by clicking an X on the eyeball)

Right click on your tag and Copy

Paste as New Animation in AS

Edit>Paste Before Current Frame until you have 7 frames
(You'll see this on the lower right corner of your screen)

Edit>Select All then select Propogate Paste

Go to your animated element and Edit>Select All

With your mouse drag your element on to your black background

All 7 frames of your background should have the animated element on it

Back in PSP, hide your black background and un-hide the merged layer

Making sure the merged layer is active in your LP right click on the tag and Copy

Paste as New Animation in AS

Repeat the above steps making your tag have 7 frames

Select All

Make sure your black background with the animated element has the scroll bar all the way to the left and that you Select All and Propogate Paste

Drag your tag onto the black background

All 7 frames of your tag should be on all 7 frames of the background

View Animation and save if it looks OK - you can always Undo if you make a mistake

IF YOU WISH TO HAVE THIS TAG, PLEASE LET ME KNOW AND I WILL PERSONALIZE AND SEND IT TO YOU

But if you do the tutorial - I would love to see your results!!
